Friday, March 6th

We did an amazing tour of one of Italy's oldest biodynamic producers! We poured a selection of Tuscan and Alto Adige wines from the wonderful producer, Loacker.

This one is for the GMS (Grenache, Mouvédre, Syrah) fans! New to the shelves we'll be opening up Domaine des Soulanes 'Cuvee Jean Pull' from Roussillon region of France.
Friday, February 28th
Our pre-Leap Day tasting with Pam Govinda of P.M.Spirits was full of delights. We tasted three wonderful natural spirits from Italy, Fred Jerbis #34 Bitter, Bordiga's beatufil Vermouth Rosso, and Bresca Dorada's Mirto di Sadegna.

We had the perfect wine for pre-springtime- "L'Appel des Sereines" A 100% Syrah, peppery for sure but with a juicy texture. This is the more elegant side of Rhone.

Heretat de Taverners 'Flor de Taverners' - a hearty and delicious Monastrell/Tempranillo from Valencia, Spain

A special wine from skilled Portuguese winemaker Lúcia Freitas. This wine is elegant and a true window into Dão! Quinta da Mariposa 'Dão Branco' 2017

Friday is Valentine's Day and, as you've probably heard, Virginia is for Lovers. So, how better to celebrate than by joining us with the one-and-only Lee Campbell as she pours some amazing wines from the Commonwealth of Virginia.

A trip to the other side of the country, we will be opening Maître-de-Chai's 2017 Sauvignon Blanc! A study in site specific natural wine making- read not your average Cali Sauvignon Blanc!

We enjoyed our second tasting of the Cocktail of the Month! This month is The Pearl of Perpignan! It consist of tequila, pear liqueur and store favorite Rancio Sec! Stop by and see what all the fuss is about.

At Atlas we all have varying taste, but one thing we all agree on is that Cabernet Franc is underrated and we get especially excited when we can offer an exceptional bottle for $20! Château de Chaintres 'Les Sables' Cabernet Franc 2018 from the Loire Valley will make you reconsider your favorite red varietal.

We will be joined by Kelsey from Yola Mezcal, a wonderful Mezcal we started carrying a few weeks back - with a fascinating history as well. C'mon in and learn all about it.

One of our favorite recent arrivals into the shop is Matita Bianco from Abruzzo, Italy. A natural wine made from a blend of Trebbiano and Malvasia with some short skin-contact. Come on in to taste it and see why we're so in love with it.
