Josko Gravner pioneered the re-adoption of ancient orange winemaking techniques from Georgia (use of Amphora, 5–6-month macerations). Ribolla is widely considered the purest expression of Friulian terroir. After primary fermentation, the wine spends 5-6 months in qvevri, followed by 6 years (!) in oak.
