Classic Merlot fruits and spice are complimented by a hint of sous-bois; that earthy forest floor quality. The rare Marselan grape is a hybrid of Cab Sauv and Grenache and imparts some structure and ripe fruit. The winery is in the village of Beaumes de Venise, but the use of these two non-Rhône grapes makes the wine a Vaucluse VdP…which means value for money.
